Today we took her for her first walk in the neighborhood. Somewhere in the back of the mind--spurred by a random thought of 'what does she dream about?'--was the thought of letting her see something to inspire her.
I don't think she needed that yet... she came into the world bleary eyed but seeing just what she needed, having seen already what we too soon forget.
We only hope to help her feel back at home. Less strollers more sleeping and remembering of our home.

"Our
birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life's Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from afar:
Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness,
But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home:
Heaven lies about us in our infancy!"
--William Wordsworth
And Diana and Venus rose to great her before the sun on her first morning!
